Sophistication meets tradition in our Bed and Breakfast in Tuscany

Our property has been converted to create milieus that are as similar as possible to those of the timeless country houses typical of the local villages. Having said that, its history is documented as far back as 1586.

At that time, Il Casellino was part of an estate belonging to the Benedictine monastery in Vallombrosa. It was subsequently sold to the aristocratic da Verrazzano family, who donated it to the order of St. Francis de Sales in 1711.

In the modern and contemporary ages, Il Casellino was involved in the production of extra-virgin olive oil. Nowadays, the farm has 40 hectares planted with varieties of olive trees traditionally cultivated in Tuscany. These yield organic oil of the highest quality, which stands out for its taste, consistency, and genuineness. The land is also given over to cultivating ancient varieties of fruit and vegetables.

Almost half of the estate is covered by woods in which many species of animals roam free, and where you can find botanical varieties of great interest, such as the bumblebee orchid.

The sinuous movement of the hills surrounds our property; clear air pervades, and the dazzling sky overlooks it. In this explosion of natural colours, guests rediscover that contact with nature that is all-too-often sacrificed. In addition to its pastoral dimension, a stay here allows you to appreciate all the best that Tuscany has to offer.

The estate is located in a strategic position, close to the most enthralling attractions of the region, such as Florence, Fiesole, Siena, Lucca, and Arezzo. With art, nature, and good food, here you can rediscover the beauty and authentic flavour of little things.

No less important are the moments of relaxation in the swimming pool.
