At that time, Il Casellino was part of an estate belonging to the Benedictine monastery in Vallombrosa. It was subsequently sold to the aristocratic da Verrazzano family, who donated it to the order of St. Francis de Sales in 1711.<\/p>\n

Nowadays, the farm has 40 hectares planted with varieties of olive trees traditionally cultivated in Tuscany. These yield organic oil of the highest quality, which stands out for its taste, consistency, and genuineness. The land is also given over to cultivating ancient varieties of fruit and vegetables.<\/p>\n

Almost half of the estate is covered by woods in which many species of animals roam free, and where you can find botanical varieties of great interest, such as the bumblebee orchid.<\/p>\n
